POSITION:    Environmental Engineer
LOCATION:   San Antonio, Texas
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:   Secret
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:    Bachelor Degree 
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:   
  • Junior    2 years Air Force (or similar) Environmental Programs, ERA Planning, Programming, Budgeting (PRD), and Remedial Action Cost Engineer Requirements (RACER)
  • Senior   15 years Air Force (or similar) Environmental Programs, ERA Planning, Programming, Budgeting (PRD), and Remedial Action Cost Engineer Requirements (RACER)

Description: Support to the Air Force with planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) specifically working with the Environmental Restoration Account (ERA) PPBE, Program Requirement Development (PRD), and Remedial Action Cost Engineering Requirements (RACER).  Support will further encompass Technology Transfer communication, emerging issues/emerging contaminants, critical process analysis, modeling, Green & Sustainable Remediation initiatives and laboratory proficiency testing.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the Air Force’s environmental restoration program (ERP) together with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Program Requirements Development (PRD) process 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project Cost Estimating Assumptions Documents (PCEADs) 
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the preparation of cost estimates using Remedial Action Cost Engineering Requirements (RACER) 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental liabilities associated with the ERP 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EESOH-MIS 
  • In-depth expertise with the Program Requirements Development (PRD) process
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost estimating in order to track the Cost-to-Complete (CTC) of the ERP 
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the comprehensive Environmental Liabilities (EL)/CTC plan 
  • Demonstrated data collection and analysis skills 
  • Demonstrated knowledge in articulating data to high-level leadership
