The Senior Systems Engineer will provide support to the Government mission customer by assisting in the design and integration of technical capabilities in the areas of content management and collaboration. 
  • Utilizing Communications Design and Engineering, Infrastructure Optimization, Governance, and Operational Efficiency processes, in order to effectively align with initiatives supporting mission customers.
  • Ensuring that content management and collaboration services converge around improving and enhancing the defined focus areas.
  • Completing design and infrastructure projects in a manner that shall meet the goal of implementation of secure data solutions.
  • Planning and implementing proper safeguards to protect the data that resides within each customer's environment, so that only authorized users are allowed to access the data.
  • The front-end collaboration building is planned to be performed in SharePoint 2013, to enable SharePoint management two ways:
    • 1) via the web interface
    • 2) through development tools such as SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio, the latter in order to engineer custom pages.
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 15 years of systems engineering experience.
  • *A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience, for a total of thirteen (13) years of experience.
  • *A High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of experience will also be considered
  • At least three (3) years of SharePoint front-end design experience.
  • Experience in designing User Interfaces or User Experience (UI/UX) capabilities (and related skills) are necessary.
Experience in these other capabilities would be useful (but not mandatory):
  • .net
  • C#
  • jQuery
  • JavaScript
  • HTML5
  • CSS
  • Experience in cybersecurity capabilities is a plus.
