JOB DESCRIPTION:
 
The Technology Transition Office is responsible to the Chief of Capabilities Integration and Planning for the management and oversight of technology transition into and out of the Enterprise Architecture.  These transition activities include managing the introduction of new prototype capabilities and the transition and decommission of legacy technologies.  The Technology Transition Office provides support not only across MPO but to external IC partners to ensure transition stakeholder requirements are understood and considered.  Transition activities include managing and supporting Technology Transition Office process, monitoring and measuring progress through the process and associated artifacts, identifying risks and recommending mitigations and supporting planning activities.
As directed by the Government management, the contract shall provide systems engineering services that are consistent with the Technology Transition Office requirements and processes.  Customer support requests are evaluated by the Government to determine alignment with its scope and objectives.  Discrete task descriptions will be created for all requests and be used for tracking and to enable contractor assignments.
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience OR
  • A Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
MANDATORY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
 
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the creation and refinement of corporate-level processes
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in the development and implementation of requirements management processes and procedures.
  • Ten (10) years of experience supporting programs and projects within this customer space.
  • Recent experience in the transition and decommission of legacy software systems.

PREFERRED/HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Experience in program and/or project management highly desired.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in writing and/or managing Mission needs and/or functional requirements.
  • Experience in producing and interpreting architectural documentation.
  • Experience with Confluence / JIRA managing Systems Engineering Projects helpful.
