Job Description:
The network engineer will participate in the implementation of a forward-looking network and general infrastructure to supporting the network infrastructure of a multitier development testing environment.  The network engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the virtualized network enclave.  Network security is a big part of the job and we’d prefer one of the candidates to have some level of experience with network security-related concepts (hardening, policy, access control, intrusion detection, etc.).  This is a hands-on, implementation environment.  The need to be flexible is paramount.  

Minimum Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Network Engineering or related discipline plus ten (10) years' experience as an Network Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. 
  • A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Network Engineering or related discipline plus eight (8) years' experience as a Network Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an additional four (4) years of relevant experience providing network engineering support may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree, for a total of fourteen (14) years of experience
Required Certification:
  • A CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) is a requirement for this labor category.  HOWEVER, we would consider outstanding candidates with a CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Candidate should have familiarity with virtualization, iSCSI/Fiber-channel, Ethernet, network routing (w/sub-interfaces), switching, storage, firewalls, Linux and Windows.
 Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to Network Administrators and Systems Administrators, monitor and maintain the current infrastructure, improve system performance, and automate system administration.
  • Provide input to the design of the organizations network and mission architecture.
  • Conduct Computer Network Defense Operations, plan and install network upgrades, network design, and perform quality assurance and control.
  • Configure and maintain organization's network diagrams and accreditation.
  • Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DoD/IC regulations.
  • Oversee the support to all network equipment.
  • Support the integration of the analytic platform into the CND CDC.
