JOB DESCRIPTION:  
Provide systems engineering and technical guidance to support the technical management team within a program management office.  Provides day-to-day program tracking, ensuring quality standards, and program scheduling.  Provides technical and analytical analysis for the PMO, providing status updates to the Government PMO.  Analyzes current capabilities under development for the identification and assessment of end-to-end performance of mission threads.  Assists the technical management team with the performance of technical reviews of capabilities being developed.  Applies extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting the development of capabilities across the Program while helping to ensure maximum value to mission.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience OR 
  • A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience OR a PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience OR
  • A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty four (24) years of general system engineering experience
INDIVIDUAL CAPABILITIES:
  • Extensive systems engineering experience including ability to breakdown complex problem space, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer cost/schedule/performance expectations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel macros and in designing other Microsoft office application templates.
  • Systems integration experience from both technical and programmatic perspectives.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills in interacting with senior technical and program management leaders.
  • Individual must possess demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders to reach mutual agreements on goals, objectives, program/domain capabilities, interfaces and milestones.
  • Individual must quickly gain understanding of the goals of the customer organization and apply knowledge to implementation planning and execution.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS (desired, but not mandatory):
  • CAPM, PMP, or equivalent certification
